This project will upgrade pedestrian and bicycle facilities along a route that serves Central Washington Hospital, Lincoln Elementary and Wenatchee High School. Intersection improvements at Miller and Red Apple Road will reduce conflict points for both pedestrians and vehicles. Illumination will aide in the reduction of collisions. Elimination of on street parking on the north side will reduce/eliminate sight distance issues for ten of the fifteen intersections within the project limits. Additions of bike lanes will extend the existing bike corridor on Miller Street by nearly half a mile and create a link between Okanogan Ave and Miller Street.
